When you reserve a copy
We keep your name, email, shipping address, the option you chose, and any dedication you write. We use them to number, register and ship your copy, and to tell you when it ships. Nothing else.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe’s own privacy policy covers what it processes.
Order confirmations and book updates are sent through Resend. If you chose “Just keep me posted”, you will hear when the book ships, and not much more. Reply to any email to stop them.
The practice pages
Anything you write on a practice page, such as The Hold, stays in your own browser. It is never sent to us. The site counts visits and button presses (which page, which button, and where the visit came from), never words, and never tied to your name.
What we do not do
- No advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
- We never sell or rent your information.
- We never share it except with the services above, to get your book to you.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time by writing to book@defusely.com. We keep order records only as long as needed to ship, register your copy, and meet tax obligations.
